Happy Chinese New Year!
We join our Asian friends, families and the world in celebrating the beginning of the Year of the Tiger.
The Lunar New Year or the Chinese New Year is celebrated by almost 2 billion people across the world, and it is a time of reunion and birth, marking the end of winter and the start of spring.
We celebrated the new year dressed in red and engaged in symbolic activities: we created and decorated tiger lanterns; hosted lunch in our class-made Chinese restaurant; and learned of the history of the Tiger.
